Forensic Technology has evolved and changed since ancient times. From the ancient methods of examining dead corpses to the advanced methods of analyzing a tiny amount of blood evidence, there had been a progressive growth of forensic technology over time. Below is a small slide show to glimpse through the history of forensics.

Great advances in forensic science have occurred throughout human history. From the timeline, we gather how crime solving has evolved from the simplest techniques of physical matching and rudimentary poison detection, to the more precise identification of fingerprints, blood and even more specifically, DNA. Computerized databases for DNA and fingerprints together with advanced auto-imaging systems have sprung up only in the last 2 decades. In the past, law enforcement agencies did not have routine access to the amount of information that can be gathered and analyzed from a crime scene as they do today.
